About CCEAC

Purpose and mission of the

Canadian Centre of Excellence for Anti-Corruption (CCEAC)

The CCEAC is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that encourages exchange and communication of best practices to help prevent, detect and deter ethics, compliance and corruption related risks.

The CCEAC works with academic institutions, industry, private and public institutions and other stakeholders to foster collective action in combating corruption by promoting ethics, good governance, compliance as well as accountability and transparency at all levels and across all sectors of society.

The CCEAC will encourage and support the propagation of knowledge and best practices through training, mentorship, education, advocacy, research and other activities that can increase the capacity of people, organizations and other entities to tackle corruption, ethics and compliance related issues.

THE MISSION

The CCEAC accomplishes its mission by

  • Raising Awareness of the cost and impact of ethics, compliance and corruption related problemswith private and public institutions, Educational institutions, the general public and other stakeholders
  • Developing partnerships and coalitions to address it
  • Identifying, aggregating, developing and disseminating information and tools to curb it
  • Promoting transparency and accountability in politics and business
  • Striving to help build capacity of people, industry, organizations and other entities to tackle corruptionrelated issues through sharing information, training, mentoring and other educational activities
  • Promoting and fostering discussion, exchange and advocacy on corruption, ethics, governance and related issues
  • Inviting and encouraging people and organisations to contribute to the growth of the CCEAC toolboxby contributing information, tools and best practices that can be shared and used by others
  • Supporting capacity building by fostering innovation, creativity, institutions and mechanisms to combat it
  • Providing and supporting knowledge transfer through the direct delivery and/or in supporting and promotingthe delivery of training, information sessions, conferences and other mechanisms, techniques and tools
  • Engaging, challenging and encouraging the next generation of business leaders to take an active rolein promoting ethics, compliance, good governance and anti-corruption measures
  • Connecting and working with universities to encourage research, education and projects with academicsand students to promote ethics, compliance, good governance and anti-corruption measures
